thinking while typing: how did I get this way

     Looking back on family photos and pictures of me as a kid, teenager and adult, I am always shocked at how pretty I looked at times that I thought I was "fat and ugly". I have never been a bean pole. I have however, been much thinner then my present day! I have had people make all kinds of excuses for me: it was when you went through puberty, you started gaining when your dad moved back, or you just got busy with school and stuff.

    I know why I got this way, I know whose fault it is.. MINE! I gained the weight because instead of pushing myself I gave up. I got this way because I made choices to eat more than I should and exercise for less than I needed to. I became who I am because of things I DID! Not the bullies in school, not my family, not because I got "busy" but because I MADE CHOICES.
    
     This may sound like self hate talk but it really isn't it is self realization. I will also lose the weight because of choices I MAKE... not because I see the trainer once a week or because I have support. It is because I WILL make time to workout and I will STOP putting JUNK into my body. This is the only body I will get. I HAVE to make the right CHOICES! It isn't anyone but my responsibility. I am not saying that the support and the trainer won't help. I am just stating that this is MY RESPONSIBILTY and that no one else can do this for me, or for you. We have to want this for ourselves and we have to make the CHOICES we need to in order to make this time the time that we become a success story! WE CAN DO THIS! I AM DOING THIS!

myfitness pal and fit bit

I will be using Myfitnesspal to track both my exercise and calories my profile on myfitnesspal is http://www.myfitnesspal.com/sammy46802. I also use a fit bit to track my steps daily. I will post my steps weekly on this site for all to see . I will use this combination to watch my calories AND my exercise! I have had a couple people offer to work out with me and will be taking EVERYONE up on these offers! Thanks for reading

and it started

The Journey has begun. My name is Samantha. I am 22. I have overcame many things in my life and my weight will be added to the list. I am a RN and work at a non-profit hospital. I love what I do and know what I need to do for my health. I AM BY NO MEANS A WEIGHT LOSS PROFESSIONAL! I am a constant weight loss seeker. I have never been my ideal weight or even remotely close but as of late I have been gaining consistently. I have a wedding coming up in March and will be a beautiful bride, however, I want to be a fit healthy and beautiful bride. SO let the journey to the 100 pound club begin. The 100 pound club is a club of women that have LOST 100 pounds ( and maintained). I am starting my journey to that club and would love to share every minute of it with the world!
